Deeper Muscle Massage
» Integrative & Sports Massage in Durango, La Plata, Bayfield & the Four Corners

George and Lori Ann both have extensive training in the use of a comprehensive health intake, physical assessment of soft tissue issues, body mechanics and postural analysis. These are the components they use to create a comprehensive individual treatment plan.

The goal of the massage determines what type of massage an individual should schedule. Whether it is to help with stress from pain, occupation, family or personal issues, a general relaxation massage can be very beneficial. When a person has more stubborn issues the need for a more in depth treatment plan with an integrative approach will be more beneficial.

Complete Physical Assessment and Full Evaluations are one in the same and as follows…..

"A complete physical assessment provides the practitioner with the information necessary to determine appropriate treatment. Assessment reveals important aspects of the nature of a condition, including the tissues most likely involved and the status of those tissues. The individual characteristics of the person’s condition must be explored with assessment."

Mountain Hyperbarics

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy or HBOT, is a medical treatment involving the use of oxygen under pressure. Once used only to treat divers suffering from the bends, HBOT’s addition to mainstream medicine has seen it become one of the fastest-growing treatment modalities in the United States.

The basic principle behind hyperbaric oxygen therapy is easy to understand – oxygen is vital to the healing process. In normal conditions, only red blood cells have the ability to carry oxygen to injured parts. During HBOT, the oxygen molecule responds to pressure changes and is dissolved in all body fluids – such as plasma, lymph, interstitial, synovial and cerebrospinal fluid. Increased oxygen levels, in turn, raise the body’s ability to create new blood vessels, build new connective tissue, and foster the growth of new cells.
